About Me

I am a PhD Candidate in Physical Oceanography at the Instituto Oceanográfico, Universidade de São Paulo (USP), where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Oceanography (2023).

My research centers on internal waves, coastal physical oceanography and lagrangian drift, exploring how fluid dynamics interact with boundary layers, marine ecosystems, and coastal geomorphology. My current main question is "How much the interaction between internal tides and near-inertial waves enhances the vertical mixing of heat and nutrients on a subtropical shelf of supercritical topography?"

Office

From March 2026 to March 2027 I am based as a visiting researcher at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (W&M), under the supervision of my co-advisor, Prof. Piero Mazzini. From April 2027 until the end of my PhD, I will be back in São Paulo.
